In 1967, Stephen Allen Davis had his first meeting with a publisher in Nashville. He played a song he had written a couple of weeks earlier. That song was "Take Time To Know Her"and became a huge hit for Percy Sledge. He signed his first publishing agreement and inked a deal with RCA Records the same year. He had just turned 18 years old. Since 1967 he has had over 350 cuts, 18 BMI Awards and sales in excess of 30,000,000.
